As the final week of February rolls around, many winter sports are nearing the end of their seasons. Conference tournaments are on the horizon for college basketball, with indoor track conference championships beginning on Friday. High school basketball teams are beginning state playoffs. Here are all the local sports events for the upcoming week:

Fort Lewis College basketball:

FLC women's basketball at Chadron State College on Thursday at 5:30 p.m.

Records: The FLC women hope to break a six-game losing streak that has them at 6-20 overall and 3-15 in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play. Chadron State has lost three in a row, sitting at 5-19 and 4-14 in the RMAC. Both teams are playing their second-to-last game of the season.

FLC men's basketball at Chadron State College on Thursday at 7 p.m.

Records: Chadron State begins its two-game home stand to finish the season against the 17-10 (11-7 RMAC) Skyhawks, who are playing for a first-round home game in the RMAC tournament. CSC is 13-13 and 9-9 in the RMAC.

FLC women's basketball at South Dakota Mines on Saturday at 4 p.m.

FLC men’s basketball at RMAC tournament on Tuesday

The men will play their first games of the conference tournament on Tuesday, with opponent and time to be determined based on the results of their last two games of the season.

FLC indoor track and field:

After a successful season in which several school records were broken, the Skyhawks are gearing up for the RMAC Championships. The meet begins on Friday and ends on Saturday, featuring all the top athletes from the RMAC’s 15 schools.

FLC softball:

FLC snapped a seven-game losing streak last Sunday against Colorado School of Mines. It begins a four-game home series against Colorado Christian University on Friday with games at noon and 2 p.m. Then the Skyhawks finish the series on Saturday with games at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. FLC is 2-10 and 1-6 in RMAC play, while CCU is 12-6 and a perfect 8-0 in the RMAC. The Cougars bring a 10-game winning streak into the series.

FLC women's lacrosse:

The Skyhawks look to earn their first win of the season as they bring a 0-2 record into their neutral-site matchup with Davenport University. The game is scheduled for Saturday at 3 p.m. DU is 0-1 on the season.

High school sports:

Friday:

Bayfield boys and girls varsity basketball vs. Cortez at 4 p.m.

DHS boys basketball at Rampart at 6 p.m.

Saturday:

DHS girls varsity tennis at Montrose at 10:30 a.m.

DHS girls varsity tennis at Vail Christian at 12:30 p.m.

DHS girls basketball at home at 2 p.m. Opponent TBD.

Bayfield boys and girls varsity basketball at Pagosa Springs at 2:30 p.m.
