The first week of April had some poor weather that must’ve made it tough to play for the local high school and college student-athletes. However, things are looking brighter and better this upcoming week with forecasts in the 60s and 70s.
There are plenty of home games for Durango High School at the end of the week. Here’s the local sports schedule for the upcoming week.
Fort Lewis College sports:
Saturday: Women’s golf at Colorado Mesa University Maverick Challenge in Grand Junction
Softball at Chadron State at noon
The Skyhawks are 8-28 overall and 7-24 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. Chadron State is 14-24 overall and 10-22 in the RMAC.
Women’s lacrosse vs. CSU Pueblo at 1 p.m.
The Skyhawks are on an eight-game losing streak and enter this game 1-12 overall and 0-7 in the RMAC. CSU Pueblo is 1-10 overall and 1-6 in the RMAC. CSU Pueblo’s one win of the season came against the Skyhawks, 21-8 on March 9.
