When fans start to need gloves, hats and can see their breath in the air at games, it’s a sign that the playoffs are near.
In the next two weeks, high school sports teams will wrap up their regular seasons and either turn their focus to the playoffs or look ahead to next season. Some teams are definitely in the field, while others are near the cutoff in the rankings and need wins. Others are either long shots or are too far behind in the rankings.
College sports still have a few more weeks to go at Fort Lewis College. The Skyhawks teams are in the middle of Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play and look to secure a quality finish in conference play so they can have a good seed in the conference tournament.
One of the highlights of the upcoming week is Durango High School football’s final regular season home game.
