Local sports schedule for upcoming week

Baseball teams have tournaments as many teams are off in spring break

The weather is beautiful, and it’s spring break, so there aren’t a lot of games coming up on the local sports schedule.

Baseball teams continue early-season play at the high school level with tournaments on the road. Fort Lewis College has all of its spring sports in action over the next week, but none of them are home.

Here’s the local sports schedule for the upcoming week:

Fort Lewis College sports:

Thursday: Men’s, women’s track and field at Maverick Early Bird Open

Friday: Men’s, women’s track and field at Maverick Early Bird Open

Women’s lacrosse at UCCS at 4 p.m.

Saturday: Men’s, women’s track and field at Dr. Dan Caprioglio Invitational

Softball at CSU Pueblo at noon

Softball at CSU Pueblo at 2 p.m.

Sunday: Softball at CSU Pueblo at 11 a.m.

Women’s lacrosse at Regis at noon

Softball at CSU Pueblo at 1 p.m.

Monday: Men’s golf at California State University’s San Bernardino Coyote Classic

Tuesday: Men’s golf at California State University’s San Bernardino Coyote Classic

High school sports:

Thursday: Durango baseball vs. Bloomfield at Farmington tournament at 9:30 a.m.

Friday: Durango baseball vs. Taos at Farmington tournament at 2:30 p.m.

Bayfield baseball vs. Rifle at Delta tournament 3:30 p.m.

Saturday: Durango baseball vs. Grants at Farmington tournament at 2:30 p.m.

Bayfield baseball vs. Delta at Delta tournament at 3:30 p.m.

Monday: Ignacio girls soccer vs. Telluride at 4:30 p.m.

Tuesday: Durango baseball vs. Farmington at 4 p.m.

Durango girls lacrosse vs. Montrose at 4 p.m.
