As January rolls on, so do local winter sports. High school and college basketball teams are just over halfway through their seasons, which means every game starts to count for conference and league rankings. Additionally, the Fort Lewis College men’s and women’s indoor track teams will be attending their first meet of the new year. Here are all the local sports games and events this upcoming week:

Fort Lewis College basketball:

Fort Lewis women’s basketball at Colorado Christian University on Thursday at 6 p.m.

Records: The FLC women hope to snap a two-game losing streak that has them sitting at 5-11 overall and 2-6 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. CCU is in a very similar situation, sitting at 4-12 overall and 2-6 in RMAC play, having just snapped a two-game losing streak of its own with a win against Colorado School of Mines last week.
