Bayfield Elementary School participated in the annual 'Food, Friends and Funds' drive for Pine River Shares, collecting truckloads of food donations for use during the winter.
Two students from each grade were selected to sort food for the annual food drive at Bayfield Elementary School, benefitting Pine River Shares.
Boxes of staples fill the Pine River Shares storage area. The food is used for backpacks for students to take home from school, as well as helping local families fill the gaps during the winter.
Pine River Shares hosted its fifth annual "Food, Friends and Fun" drive in November and December.
Students from Bayfield Elementary and Bayfield Middle School held a canned food drive, which stocked the shelves at Pine River Shares. The food is used for the backpack program for school students, as well as providing groceries to local families during the winter months.
