Several local students were named as Outstanding Student of the Year within their department of study at Fort Lewis College:
Christina Lopez of Durango, majoring in communication design; Dustin Mangus of Ignacio, majoring in engineering; Bethany Morin of Durango, majoring in exercise science; and Alexander DeBoer of Durango, majoring in adventure education.
