The La Plata Electric Association Board of Directors recently adopted its 2020 budget, which aims to improve service and reliability to LPEA’s more than 34,000 members.
The budget includes a $3 million increase in revenue to update LPEA’s aging electricity infrastructure, improve customer service and support, and prepare for the future of the electric grid.
In January, the board will meet to consider various options for achieving the needed revenue increase, while minimizing cost impact to its members. LPEA’s last rate increase was in 2016.
