La Plata Electric Association recently hired Clifford Field as its engineering technician, a new position created to provide system administration for the cooperative’s Automated Metering Infrastructure, and address special projects and technology research.
Before he graduated in engineering from Fort Lewis College last December, Field was a senator for the Associated Students of Fort Lewis College and student president of the Village Aid Project, a student-led organization formerly named Engineers Without Borders.
He is originally from Steamboat Springs.
