Free college scholarship application assistance for high school seniors and parents will be offered from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, at La Plata Electric Association’s Bodo Park headquarters, 45 Stewart St.
Application assistance for a variety of college scholarships available through LPEA will be provided. LPEA staff members will be on-hand to answer questions. Reservations are not necessary, and copies of all applications will be available.
All high school seniors, including home-schooled students, in LPEA’s service territory who receive their electricity from LPEA are eligible to apply.
LPEA directly offers the four-year LPEA Scholarship and the two-year LPEA/John Voelker Memorial Scholarship. Also provided are additional affiliated rural electric scholarships and awards offered by Tri-State Generation and Transmission and Basin Electric Power Cooperative.
The application deadline is March 1. Attendance at the open house is not a requirement of application.
