I’m writing to you in hopes of determining if the mural painted on the retaining wall of the new McDonald’s on Zyme rock road is the worst mural ever painted. A poor representation of a spatula, a wrench, a scythe, a bowl, ETC … Really?
This is the first thing one sees when traveling to Durango on the new interchange. There are so many beautiful murals in the Durango area. I wish we had something on this wall that was visually stimulating and beautiful for the many travelers coming to our town.
Please start a petition to have this mural removed. There are many talented artists in our community who would jump at the chance to create something beautiful and professional in such a prominent location. I’ll pay for the paint, just make it go away. Please.
