Make up own mind in LPEA election

In response to the letter from Tom Givon headlined, “Vote for those not beholden to bullies” (Herald, April 26):

First of all, Givon sounds like he is reading a biased script from San Juan Citizens Alliance. All of the actual leaders in agriculture in La Plata County meet with Christi Zeller on a regular basis at our meetings with the La Plata County Energy Council. Christi never has been anything but polite, eager to hear any concerns and work with the ag community.

She brings the gas and oil industry together with real people in agriculture that actually have gas or oil wells on their land. She has built a great relationship between these two groups that work together on common issues such as the EPA, water, wildlife, weeds, etc. Tom obviously does not know Christi at all to call her a bully.

Tom must not have liked that Christi was informing the public about what she personally found to be a conflict of interest with some of the candidates running for the LPEA board positions – some that could profit by their decisions that they make on our behalf.

Please read the information provided to you by LPEA – read it, make up your own mind, and don’t listen to hypocrites who use gas and oil products each and every single day. Imagine your life without energy, electricity, oil (gasoline) propane, natural gas.

Think about it before you vote.

Do you want anyone on the LPEA board that puts their pocketbook or agenda before yours?
