Durangoan Greg Parham, a purveyor of dwellings for adherents of the tiny-house movement, will be featured in an HGTV program airing at 9 p.m. Monday.
Tiny houses are just that – small, like a couple of hundred square-feet. The national movement toward tiny, but self-contained units, started around 2000 in Northern California.
Parham was the subject of an article in The Durango Herald in October 2013 when he was starting his career. He has a degree in architecture from the University of Texas in Austin.
He has built seven tiny houses and has orders for several more. He lives in a house of 151 square-feet that is mounted on a trailer.
HGTV features programs on home design, remodeling, decorating and landscaping.
