Police are investigating the death of a man found outside in the 400 block of 11th Street in Durango.

Officers responding to a call about 8 a.m. Sunday, found the body of Durango resident Jeff Davies.

“This is still under investigation,” Durango Police Department Public Information Officer Lt. Ray Shupe said Sunday.

An autopsy is scheduled to be performed in Grand Junction, he said.

“We’ll know a whole lot more after that,” he said.
