Many troubling questions about Trump

President Donald Trump is directly implicated in actions, which, if proved true, should be the number one concern for most Americans.

Where do our Colorado congressmen, men sworn to uphold our U.S. Constitution and our national security, stand on seriously investigating concerns regarding President Trump’s professional and personal ties with Russia?

What were Trump’s interactions with Mr. Putin during the campaign? Has Mr. Trump’s association with the Russian KGB compromised the United States?

How worried should we all be about the links between Donald Trump’s overseas business partners and foreign governments? Did Mr. Trump fail us all by appointing as our national security adviser a man the intelligence community had explicitly warned was compromised by the Russian government?

Our allies in Europe and Israel are extremely concerned; shouldn’t our congressmen be too?

In December, more than 160 people of La Plata County signed and personally delivered a letter to Scott Tipton and Cory Gardner asking for serious, bipartisan, independent, open hearings to be convened on the president’s relations with Russia. Congressman Tipton? Senator Gardner? We’re still waiting to hear from you, hoping that you are, indeed, even better patriots than you are Republicans.
