Marbury listens, then responds

I am voting for Sweetie Marbury for City Council because she listens, then responds.

On three different occasions, I have contacted her about an issue, and she never let me down. When City Council considered changing the parking booting to be done after one parking violation instead of three, I told Sweetie that that was unfair to people who couldn’t afford even a ticket, much less the cost of a boot. She advocated for those who struggle financially and convinced the Council to compromise. Another time, I told her people in a Durango neighborhood were complaining that new sidewalks were being installed but without handicapped access. Within hours, she facilitated a conversation between the neighbors and another city of Durango staff member, and they came to a satisfactory resolution. Finally, I commented how the lighting in one area of town was nonexistent and dangerous for people navigating the sidewalks. Within days, streetlight repair was finished.

Advocacy, compromise, responsiveness and facilitation all make Sweetie Marbury worthy of re-election. Vote for someone who cares about the little details of running a city, while also able to look at the big picture: Sweetie Marbury.
