Wednesdays, 4-5 p.m.: Tween Time. Games and crafts in the teen library. Ages 11-17 are welcome.

Vaccine Clinics: Pine River Library is hosting a vaccine clinic every Wednesday from 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Pfizer (12+) and Moderna (18+) will usually be available during all hours of the clinic and from 2-5:30 p.m. It will also have pediatric Pfizer for ages 5-11. Wednesdays, 10:30-11:30 a.m.: Storytime. Drop in every week for stories, songs and a craft.

For elementary ages:

Mondays, 3:45-5 p.m.: Gamer Club. Celebrate all forms of gaming. Tabletop gaming, console video games, Roblox, Minecraft, Pokémon Go and virtual reality. Computers are provided, but gamers can bring their own laptop or Switches. This program is geared for grades three and older, but younger children are welcome to attend with a caregiver.

Tuesdays, 3:45-5 p.m.: After School Explorers. For kindergarten through second grade. Explore STEAM projects. Test how strong we can make paper towers, create tie-dye bags and learn about symmetry through snowflakes. Every last Tuesday of the month will feature a special Lego challenge.

Thursdays, 3:45-5 p.m.: After School Explorers. For third through fifth grades. Make STEAM discoveries. Extract strawberry DNA, build robot puppets and construct spinning art machines. Every last Thursday of the month will feature a special Lego challenge.

Take and Make kits:

St. Paddy’s Pot o’ Gold Bags: These kits will contain a trivia/fact sheet about this holiday and the lore surrounding it along with assorted golden-wrapped chocolates. This kit will be released March 1.

Tolkien Bookmark Craft: March 25 is National Tolkien Reading Day. Get a jump on this event by creating your own magical bookmark. Kit contains blank bookmark templates, Tolkien quotes, character silhouettes and colorful markers. This kit will be released March 15.

Weekly programs for middle and high schoolers:

Wednesdays, 3:45-5 p.m.: Teen Lounge. Pop-up activities in the teen area.

Fridays, 3:45-5 p.m.: Teen Lounge. Gaming with Oculus, XBox1, PlayStation 4s and assorted board games in the community room.

Program in a bag kits:

Spice Up Your Life!: This kit includes four international spice blends and recipes. Learn how to incorporate garam masala, herbes de Provence, za’atar and Chinese five spice. This kit will be released March 1.

Paper Flower Bouquet: This kit contains precut elements to craft into a custom bouquet. This kit will be released March 15.

Weekly Exercise Classes
Yoga with Colleen

All you need is a yoga mat and a water bottle. Some yoga tools such as blocks, a blanket and a strap are encouraged. Cost is $10 for a single class, $45 for a five pass and $75 for a 10 pass. Checks can be made out to Bayfield Parks and Rec.

Mondays, 9-10 a.m.: Mostly Yin Yoga. Targets the connective tissue, which are the joints, bones and ligaments. We remain in many of the poses longer than in a traditional yoga class, which can be challenging for our body as well as our mind. The class may be slower paced, but it gives our mind time to quiet down, our breath to soften and our connective tissue to be stimulated. We will experience the balance between movement and stillness. Tools such as blocks and blankets are encouraged for this class. This class is accessible for all levels. We will experience the balance between movement and stillness.

Wednesdays, 8-9 a.m.: Yoga Flow. Yoga Flow lets us move dynamically from one posture to another. We create a meditative state with the flow and rhythm of our breath and the warming, lengthening and strengthening of our muscles in all the movements of our bodies.

Full Body Fit

Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8:15-9 a.m.: Full Body Fit. Free HIIT-style workout that uses just body weight and light hand weights. These classes are taught by Tammy Williams, certified fitness instructor. All ages and fitness levels are welcome. Follow @Body & Soul on Facebook for more details.

March 4, 10-11 a.m.: Rambling Readers. Meet at the gate to Saul’s Creek just off U.S. Highway 160 in Bayfield on the first Friday of every month. Take a gentle walk and spend an hour discussing favorite reads. Call 884-2222, ext. 1, for directions to the meeting spot.

March 8, 10-11 a.m.: Card Making at the Pine River Senior Center. At the Pine River Senior Center every second Tuesday of the month. Create two beautiful handmade cards for free.

March 9, 10-11 a.m.: Kindergarten Readiness Workshop. On the second Wednesday of each month, childhood developmental experts from the Early Childhood Council will have workshops for caregivers of kids 0-5 to get them ready to thrive when they start school. Families that attend will receive activity packs including books to take home.

March 9, 2-3:30 p.m.: Bookmarks Book Club. BookMarks is open to all adults. The Library provides the books, the discussion leader, and a place to gather outside. Stop by the library to request a copy of the March book,Crying in H Mart” by Michelle Zauner, or the April book “The Book of Hope” by Jane Goodall.

March 15, 1-2:30 p.m.: Death Café. Pine River Library is one of many groups in 79 countries across the world that host Death Cafés, a time and place where people come to share food, drink tea or coffee, and discuss death openly and honestly. The aim is to increase awareness about death in order to help people make the most of their finite lives.

March 16, 6:15 p.m.: Regular monthly meeting of the Library’s Board of Trustees.

March 17, 10 a.m.-12 p.m.: Friends of the Library Monthly Meeting. The Friends of the Library support the efforts of library staff members through fundraising, volunteerism and advocacy in our community. All are welcome.

March 24, 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.: Spanish Conversation Hour. An hour of conversation. Practice Spanish in an informal setting. All ages and language levels welcome.

March 25, 12:30-1:30 p.m.: Pine River Senior Center Outreach. Books and DVDs available for check out, delivered to you at the Senior Center with an extended loan period (four weeks, rather than the standard one to three weeks) each month.

March 29, 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m.: Celebrate Your Legacy. Craft an obituary that includes the details of your life you want to be shared as a part of your legacy. Hosted by local life coach Brooke Smith. Registration required, stop by the library or call 884-2222, ext. 1, to register.
