A chili cook-off and dessert auction will be held at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Marvel Grange Hall, 217 County Road 133A, in Marvel.

People who intend to enter the cook-off are instructed to bring a gallon of chili, ready to serve, and a $10 entry fee.

People who attend are encouraged to bring desserts for an auction. Proceeds from the dessert auction will help families in need pay their electric bills.

The event is open to all.
