Visit Durango has welcomed Mayor Kim Baxter to its board of directors. Baxter will represent City Council. She was officially appointed by City Council to join the Visit Durango board May 18.
Almost immediately after moving to Durango 12 years ago, Baxter began participating on city boards, including Natural Lands, Multimodal and the Planning Commission. Visit Durango’s 14-member board has designated seats for the sectors of the tourism economy. Baxter will fill the city of Durango sector seat.
As a member of Visit Durango’s board, Baxter will collaborate with other city leaders and the Visit Durango team, and assist in decision making that impacts Durango’s tourism sector.
