I am impressed with City Council candidate David McHenry’s independent thinking. McHenry has a realistic, practical vision for the city. Good for him.
It gets pretty tiresome and predictable watching the Durango City Council vote down party lines.
I also am in favor of the ½-cent sales tax (issue 1-A). The city has done a decent job when it comes to recreation. I hope it will define exactly how it intends to use the money so voters can give it a thumbs-up to continue.
