McLachlan is partisan; support Jones

Democratic Rep. Barbara McLachlan has been running her campaign for state House on a record of bipartisanship. Independent Paul Jones is challenging her, to truly represent Southwest Colorado.

The Herald reported that McLachlan touts her record working with Republican lawmakers. The facts don’t align with this narrative.

McLachlan has voted with her party 98 percent of the time in her two years at the Legislature. She voted with her special-interest funders to oppose the major bipartisan legislative achievement of 2018, saving and the state pension plan.

I’m support Jones because it’s time for a representative who puts people before party. Jones will represent us regardless of affiliation. McLachlan will not.
