A memorial for Jadah Willmett, who died Aug. 2, is scheduled to be held at 6 p.m. today (Oct. 30) in front of the Speedway convenience store at 650 Buck Highway (County Road 521) in Bayfield.

Jadah’s father, Ed Willmett, said he expects the memorial to last about 30 to 45 minutes and said if people only stop by briefly for a hug, that’s all right. He said friends and family will be there to say some prayers and share a few words about Jadah.

Willmett said some people will leave behind flowers or other small items at the memorial alongside 650 Buck Highway to pay their respects but it isn’t required of anyone.

“She touched so many lives as her kind demeanor always comforted the patrons at her workplaces,” Jadah’s obituary said. “She always put other’s needs before her own.”
