Mercury wins top company recognition

Magazine names local financial services firm best of rest
Taylor

Mercury is on a roll, receiving its second award from ColoradoBiz Magazine and being featured in the September and October issues.

ColoradoBiz named Mercury as the state’s top financial company. Alongside that honor, CEO Matt Taylor was named one of the top five most influential young professionals in the state by the magazine.

Taylor was recognized as one of the most influential leaders at the fourth annual Gen XYZ Awards, which recognize the state’s top 25 professionals younger than 40. The candidates were rewarded for their business leadership skills, social activism and problem-solving strategies.

“These lists offer a snapshot of the business leadership that is driving Colorado’s innovation economy,” Taylor said. “It’s an honor to be named top both individually and as the top financial company. Both awards are a true testament to our team’s dedication to our customers and our partners.”

Mercury, headquartered in Durango, was chosen as the top financial service company in the state because of its service to customers. The company has accumulated more than 3,000 point-of-sales partners and increased revenue more than 150 percent in recent years.

Mercury specializes in credit-card and various payment processing services. With locations all over the United States and Canada, the company has grown locally as well. The new Mercury building is slated to open next spring.
