Earlier this summer, our mother was admitted to Mercy Regional Medical Center due to complications from a surgery in another hospital, and while the end result was not as we had hoped, the care she received from the doctors, nurses and support staff at Mercy far exceeded our expectations for a small community hospital.
From the time she was admitted, each member of the team brought the expertise needed to meet the challenges of each new day. Their positive outlook and unique skillset gave us all the confidence and assurance that everything possible was being done to heal her.
The Durango area should be very proud of your hospital and the quality and commitment of the doctors and nurses at MRMC. Your hospital was aptly named; kind and compassionate care exude from inside. From the moment we stepped onto the sidewalk, the sound of the waterfall and the beautiful sculptures along the walk provided a calm atmosphere and the reassurance that God is present. We were always cheerfully greeted by staff members regardless of their role, and it was clear each employee takes great pride and ownership in their work.
From the shiny floors, clean facilities and delicious food in the cafeteria to the first rate medical care, your hospital and its staff are outstanding. The loving care, kindness and concern, not only for our mother but also for each of her three grown children as we waited by her side over the course of two and a half weeks, reassured us that she was well taken care of.
