Merely Players announces open auditions for “Hands on Hard Body,” a heartfelt musical about the pursuit of the American dream, directed by Dallas Padoven.
Audition will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. July 26 and 27 at Merely Underground, 789 Tech Center Drive. Everyone auditioning can appear at 6 p.m. on either date.
Those who are unable to attend either audition may submit an audition via video to merelydirectors@gmail.com no later than July 26.
Rehearsals will begin Oct. 16, and the show will be performed Dec. 1 to 10. See the Merely Players website at www.merelyplayers.org for open roles, audition requirements and specific rehearsal and performance dates.
The theater company is also looking for fun and capable backstage technicians. No experience is necessary, training will be provided. Those interested in tech are welcome to come on either July 26 or 27 for a tech interview. You can also contact us at the mail address above.
Merely Players will also hold open auditions for its production of William Shakespeare’s “The Tempest,” directed by Mona Wood-Patterson.
Auditions are open to adults and to high school youths and will be held at 6 p.m. July 24 and 25 at Merely Underground, 789 Tech Center Drive.
Those who are unable to attend the audition in person may submit an audition by video to merelydirectors@gmail.com by July 24. You will also need to submit the audition form at that time, which you can get on the company’s website.
