Merely Players announces open auditions for “Matilda the Musical” An enchanting musical about Roald Dahl’s young heroine comes to the Durango stage in spring 2020.
Auditions are open to adults and to youths in middle school and high school. Youth auditions will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Aug. 19. Adult auditions will be 6 to 9 p.m. Aug. 20. Callbacks by invitation only will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Aug. 22. Those interested in tech are welcome to come on either Aug. 19 or Aug. 20.
All auditions will be at Animas High School in the Jesse Hutt wing, 271 Twin Buttes Ave.
Rehearsals will begin in March 2020, and the show will be performed in May.
