Merely Players has approved “DAMSELS” as a summer Studio Series project. The Studio Series allows up and coming writers and directors to play and experiment with their work.
“DAMSELS” is written and directed by Durangoan Anya Klumpenhower, who is now majoring in theater at Covenant College in Georgia. The show uses original music numbers to tell the stories of famous tragedies throughout Western literature from a female perspective.
Merely Players is seeking four to six female leads who can sing and act. Video auditions are open to girls in eighth grade through college age and are due May 15.
