Merely Players will hold auditions for its upcoming production of “Small Mouth Sounds” by Bess Wohl and directed by Zachary Chiero.

Auditions will be held at 6 p.m. Sept. 15 and 3 p.m. Sept. 16 at Merely Underground, 789 Tech Center Drive.

All roles are open to area adults. Visit Merely Players website for character descriptions and audition requirements.

The company is also looking for fun and capable people to be backstage technicians. The members can train you. Come to the audition dates for a tech interview or email merelydirectors@gmail.com to express interest.

Rehearsals for the show will be held Mondays to Thursdays, Jan. 2 to Feb. 8. If you have conflicts, note them on your audition form. It is possible that the company can work around a date or two.

Performance dates will be Feb. 9-11, 13 and 15-18.

Merely Players is also offering a Masterclass in Auditioning for Musical Theatre with a focus on “Chicago,” from noon to 1:30 p.m. Sept. 16 at Merely Underground, 789 Tech Center Drive.

Instructors will be Mona Wood-Patterson and Zachary Chiero.

Tuition is $10, payable in cash or with check at the door. No credit cards accepted.

Attendees are asked to wear clothing that you can move in and bring something to write with and on.

Preregistration is not necessary.
