Mesa Verde National Park will hold its second annual star party from 8 to 10 p.m. Sept. 16 at the Morefield Campground Amphitheater, located four miles into the park from the entrance.
The Milky Way and Saturn’s rings will be visible under minimal light pollution, and local and park astronomers will provide information about constellation identification, multicultural sky stories and telescope views.
Attendees are asked to arrive at 7:45 p.m. and should dress warmly, bring camp chairs and binoculars and leave dogs at home.
