Millie O’Ketter, a 2020 Durango High School graduate, is off to a strong start again this season for Northern Arizona University’s volleyball team.
She was recently named to the all-tournament team at the Utah Valley Invitational and has put up some impressive stats so far this season.
O’Ketter, who is a junior libero for the Lumberjacks, is one of only three NCAA Division 1 players currently ranked in the top-75 nationally in both aces per set and digs per set. She also leads the Big Sky Conference in both categories.
Heading into the team’s game against the University of New Mexico on Friday, O’Ketter was averaging 4.5 digs per set, which ranks No. 58 in the nation.
The libero has also served 17 aces, .55 per set, which is the 41st best average in the nation and fifth-best among defensive specialists.
O’Ketter has started every set in her career for NAU, 177 straight. She made a season-high 19 digs in the team’s game against UNM on Wednesday.
She is also one of three former Four Corners Volleyball Club players on NAU’s roster along with Jordan Elder (Dolores) and Kacee Moore (Piedra Vista).
NAU is currently 1-5 on the season. It will begin its Big Sky season on Thursday at home against the University of Montana.
