These balloons were placed on a sign on Feb. 6 in Vallecito that offers a reward in the disappearance of Dylan Redwine on his 16th birthday. He disappeared from Vallecito in Thanksgiving of 2012 while visiting his father, Mark Redwine.
Feb. 6 is Dylan Redwine's 16th birthday. These photos are from his "birthday blaze" in February 2013 when he was missing, and local friends and volunteers were trying to keep his name out in the public in case anyone had seen him or had information on his disappearance. We ate birthday cake at Joe Stephenson Park and tried to be as happy as we could, given that one of our own kids was still missing.
A few of his partial remains were found in June of 2013 on Middle Mountain near Vallecito. No suspect has been named in his disappearance or death.
