The Community Foundation serving Southwest Colorado is offering a scholarship opportunity called the MOLAS – Meaningful Opportunity through Learning and Advancement.
MOLAS is needs based for low-income people, including nontraditional students, who are rising first-year college students in fall 2023. Applicants must be first-generation college students. The winner of the scholarship will receive up to 85% of tuition and room and board at a Colorado or Four Corners college, university, trade school or vocational school. The MOLAS scholarship is renewable for up to four years.
The deadline to apply is March 1 and decisions will be announced in early April. The online application can be accessed on the Community Foundation’s website, swcommunityfoundation.org/scholarships. The 2023 scholarship winner will be selected from La Plata County.
