The girls and boys high school basketball games scheduled between Montrose and Durango have been postponed because of a winter storm expected to impact travel Friday.
DHS was to host the Indians on Friday night in the opening games of the 5A/4A Southwestern League. They were highly-anticipated matchups.
The games have been moved to Feb. 1. The girls will play at 4:30 p.m., and the boys will follow at 6 p.m.
Now the first league game for the Durango teams will come Jan. 24 at home against Fruita Monument, and Grand Junction will visit the next day.
Montrose will now open the league season Jan. 24 at Grand Junction Central.
