At a time when most statements from politicians seem to be designed primarily to make them look good, Allison Morrissey’s Aug. 23 op-ed in The Durango Herald about living trusts and foreclosure was a breath of fresh air.
Her article said nothing to make her look good – it was genuinely aimed at educating readers about the purpose of the living trust and the offer of services by La Plata County to those who might need them.
Not one word about how great her office is or how devoted it is to us citizens.
We are totally fortunate to have such a service-oriented civil servant.
