Motorcycle ride to benefit injured firefighter May 4

Meyer

The Durango Harley-Davidson and Coles Chop Shop will host a benefit ride May 4 for Jim Meyer, a firefighter who was severely injured during fire training on March 9.

The event will include live music, a live auction, a silent auction, and food and drinks. Registration begins at 9 a.m., with the event running from noon to 2 p.m.

The ride will leave from Durango Harley-Davidson, 750 South Camino del Rio, and travel to Vallecito Lake before returning.

The cost to participate in the ride is $20 per rider, which can be paid in cash or via Venmo. All proceeds from the event will go toward supporting Meyer during his recovery.
