Mountain Studies Institute will celebrate its 15-year anniversary from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. July 30 with the San Juan Odyssey Tour, an adventure education excursion that starts in Silverton and continues through the San Juan Mountains.

Participants will have opportunities to see stunning mountain landscapes, waterfalls, creeks, wildflowers and mining ruins. Guides will offer insight and information about the area and answer questions about geology, hydrology, flora, fauna and history.

The cost is $125 per person and includes lunch. Registration is required and space is limited.
