Mountain Studies Institute invites the public to tour what the Animas River Community Forum has done to reduce risks from flood and fire in the Falls Creek subdivision.
A carpool will meet at 8:30 a.m. at Animas City Park, on East Second Avenue between 32nd and 33rd streets. Participants should bring water, sunscreen, hat, layers, rain gear, snacks and sturdy shoes. Space is limited.
The tour is supported by Mountain Studies Institute and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment Water Quality Control Division Nonpoint Source Program.
