Brandon Jefferson split the Tuskegee defense for 26 points, one of five Metro State Roadrunners to score in double figures of their 106-87 victory Wednesday in Evansville, Ind., in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Division II Tournament. No. 1 Metro State, last year’s national runner-up, improved to 32-1 on the season with a return trip to the final four. Metro State will play No. 20 Central Missouri (28-5) at 5 p.m. Thursday night in the national semifinals.
