Music in the Mountains commissioned the pops trio TAKE3, to record a special concert exclusively for Durango audiences. The hourlong concert will be livestreamed at 7 p.m. Thursday via a link from their website to YouTube Premiers.
With a flair for the wild, unexpected and genre-defying musical fireworks, TAKE3, brings the refinement of their rigorous classical music background and infuses it with rock-star charisma.
Everyone is invited to the free Virtual Pops Night event and are encouraged to pick up take-out meals from local restaurants.
An online auction will open immediately after the concert at www.MusicintheMountains.com. Items in the auction include the 2020 Festival artwork created by artist BJ Briner, financial planning consultation by Tafoya Barrett & Associates, golf packages, restaurant gift certificates and more. All proceeds from the auction will go to support the Music in the Mountains Goes to School programs.
