Music in the Mountains will present a series of free mobile concerts this summer

Music in the Mountains’ free Road Show concert series will take place Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday for free classical music concerts in Durango, Ignacio, Pagosa Springs and Cortez.

Concerts will feature performances by Music in the Mountains’ strings, woodwinds and brass ensembles on its brand-new, custom-built mobile stage.

All events are free and no tickets or reservations are needed.

These shows have been announced:

  • Noon Monday July 12, Shoshone Park, Ignacio.
  • 5:30 p.m. Monday July 12, Buckley Park.
  • 10 a.m. Tuesday July 13, Town Park, Pagosa Springs.
  • 2 p.m. Tuesday July 13, Stephenson Park off Mill Street, Bayfield.
  • 5:30 p.m. Tuesday July 13, Buckley Park.
  • 1 p.m. Wednesday July 14, Durango Public Library.
  • 5:30 p.m. Wednesday July 14, Parque De Vida, Cortez.

The schedule is subject to change. Check the website for any last-minute updates. In case of bad weather, individual events will be canceled and not rescheduled.

Bring your chairs or blankets. A limited number of chairs will be available to rent. Dogs are not allowed.

There are no restrooms or concessions. Participants may bring food and non-alcoholic beverages. Attendees must clean up after themselves. Shows run approximately 45 minutes.
