Nancy Peake holds Deegan, the ninth puppy she socialized, just after receiving her in Grand Junction. After Peake completed her part in training Deegan, a golden retriever, went on to specialized training as a service dog. Deegan is a career-change dog who now works as a therapy dog near Seattle.
