People hid in band’s dressing room in Paris
NEW YORK – Two members of the Eagles of Death Metal band tell VICE that several people hid in their dressing room during the deadly terrorist attack in Paris last week.
The U.S. band was performing at the Bataclan theater on the night of Nov. 13 when jihadi militants killed 130 people and wounded more than 350 others at several locations in Paris.
Band member Jesse Hughes said the killers were able to get into the dressing room and killed almost everyone – with the exception of one person who hid under Hughes’ leather jacket.
Hughes, with his voice shaking, said a big reason why so many were killed at the theater “is because so many people wouldn’t leave their friends.”
Investigators say baby cut from mom’s womb
NEW YORK – A baby was cut from the womb of a 22-year-old woman who was nearly nine months pregnant by a childhood friend with a knife, and the suspect was arrested on a murder charge, police said Saturday.
Angelikque Sutton was found in a pool of blood on Friday at an apartment in the Wakefield section of the Bronx. The suspect, 22-year-old Ashleigh Wade, was taken into custody while screaming that the baby was hers, police said.
Detectives discovered a knife and placenta in the blood-spattered apartment building when they responded to an emergency call from Wade’s boyfriend, who had been called to the scene, police said.
The newborn was in good condition Saturday at a hospital, police said. But Sutton died Friday evening. Her boyfriend said the couple was supposed to be married on Friday.

OCALA, Fla. – Authorities have arrested a man they say stole two big-screen TVs at a Honda dealership in central Florida, loaded them into an SUV in the showroom and drove through double glass doors in an attempt to make a getaway.
Ocala Police say Vantice Beshears, 46, crashed into another vehicle before jumping out of the SUV he was driving. Police found the SUV parked outside a nearby subdivision and saw Besehears walking nearby. Authorities said he appeared intoxicated.
He faces six charges, including grand theft over $20,000.
