The National Alliance on Mental Illness New Mexico and NAMI Santa Fe are offering a free eight-session course for family and friends who are caregivers of someone with a mental health condition beginning at 10 a.m. June 27 via Zoom.
Subsequent classes will be conducted from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. each Saturday for eight weeks.
The Family-to-Family course is designed to facilitate a better understanding of mental illness, increase coping skills and empower participants to become advocates for their family members. This program is designated an evidence-based program by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.
