In partnership with the National Weather Service, Nurture Nature Center will host two focus groups in the Four Corners about flood and river forecast products.
A session for emergency management and water resource professionals will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Monday at Durango Public Library, 1900 East Third Ave.
A session for residents will be held at 6 p.m. Monday at the library. Participants will be paid $50.
These focus groups are part of a social science research study funded by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to improve river forecasting. Participants will be asked to answer questions and provide feedback about various forecast products.
