Navajo State Park, located along Colorado Highway 151 southwest of Pagosa Springs, invites the public to three programs:
Arts and crafts will be offered at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, in the visitor center conference room. Visitors will make mason-jar candle holders.A presentation about Monday’s solar eclipse will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 20, in the pavilion next to the visitor center. Activities for kids will be available.An eclipse-viewing event will be held from 11 a.m. to noon Monday, Aug. 21, at the visitor center. Visitors will watch the eclipse with solar glasses provided by the park.Admission cost is a parking fee of $7 for the day or $70 for the year, per vehicle.
