Oklahoma running back Samaje Perine ran for (427) yards against Kansas, breaking the single-game FBS record set by Wisconsin’s Gordon a week earlier.

With 12:16 to play in the game, Perine set the mark with a 42-yard run on his 34th carry, giving him 427 yards for the day.

The freshman moved ahead of Melvin Gordon, who set the record of 408 yards the previous week against Nebraska.

Everything set up perfectly for Perine’s record day. The Sooners were without top receiving threats Sterling Shepard and Blake Bell, and the game was played in a driving rainstorm.

Despite a disappointing season, celebrating a victory at California never gets old.

Remound Wright ran for four touchdowns, and Stanford used a smothering defensive effort to rout rival Cal 38-17 and clinch bowl eligibility.

Blake Martinez intercepted two passes and forced a fumble as the Cardinal created five turnovers. Stanford beat the Golden Bears for the fifth consecutive year in the Big Game, savoring every second as the announced crowd of 56,483 cleared out.
