Physical therapy practice opens
Durango Physical Therapy On the Move LLC, 150 E. Ninth St., Suite 100, has opened.
The business is owned by Nichole Bluemle. Bluemle is a U.S. Army veteran and a Colorado licensed physical therapist. She has practiced in the realm of sports medicine and athletic performance for five years in the military, and, in 2012, she separated from service and moved to Durango. In addition to a doctorate in physical therapy, she also holds a master of science degree in exercise science and is certified as an orthopedic clinical specialist and strength and conditioning specialist.
The outpatient physical therapy clinic opened Sept. 4. All appointments are one-on-one for one hour with a physical therapist who can provide movement screening for injury prevention, assessment and treatment of acute and chronic injuries to include pre- and post-surgical rehabilitation, and educational consulting services.
The practice is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Evening, early morning and weekend appointments are available upon request. Mobile appointments also are available upon request. Treatments include but are not limited to: functional dry needling, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization, joint mobilization/manipulation, therapeutic exercise and therapeutic taping.
