Groundbreak Products has opened at 135 W. 32nd St.
The business is owned by Matthew Baldwin, a self-employed business owner, who has a background in military and civilian aviation. The regional manager of the business is Gregory Goodson, who has served the Durango area since 1988.
The business owns, markets and sells a patented fence post and shrub-pulling tool, as well as copyrighted apparel and products.
In addition to being a registered-trademark business and a registered “Made in the USA” company, it is also a veteran-owned business.
The business is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Saturday.

Neuro-spine center opens in Farmington
San Juan Regional Medical Center’s new Neuro-Spine Center offers a highly coordinated program for back and neck pain-sufferers.
The program is largely comprised of two areas of focus: a specialized inpatient process and community education. Free monthly back- and neck-health seminars will be offered beginning in October. This educational seminar emphasizes conservative measures for dealing with back and neck pain.
This free seminar will be held the third Thursday of every month. The next seminar will take place from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Oct. 17 at the San Juan Health Partners Conference Room, 407 South Schwartz Ave. in Farmington. Registration is required at www.sanjuanregional.com or call (505) 609-6846.
