New children’s programming from Pine River Library

Pine River Library will launch a new youth program, “A World of Stories” podcast, in February.

The monthly storytelling podcast is geared toward the youngest patrons. New episodes will be released on the first Friday of each month.

For young readers who are tackling chapter books, “story craft” grab-n-go bags will be available to accompany popular series, such as Percy Jackson, Harry Potter and Wings of Fire.

In February, readers are invited to visit Rick Riordian’s “Camp Half-Blood,” where kids can impress the Greek gods with their craft and baking skills.

The library is also celebrating Inventors Month with themed STEAM grab-n-go bags (robot building and secret messages), and the Storywalk in the garden will feature an inventor’s story and an “inventors starter bag” grab-n-go bag.
