The Colorado State Forest Service recently hired Durango resident Estevan Vega as a new special projects forester for the Durango Field Office.

Vega will assist landowners in the Durango and Pagosa Springs areas with sustainable forest management. He will also be involved in administering cross-boundary forest health and wildfire mitigation projects through the Good Neighbor Authority program.
